Why do I call this blog THESE, THAT, THOSE THEM?

You know how some people use the phrase “well, you know what they say…” when they’re trying to explain a situation they really don’t understand? I’ve always detested it. Usually, they will add some completely overused cliché or relic of a metaphor to drive home their point. I hate this term–it’s stupid, it’s empty and my curiosity has never been peaked, ever, not even once, by this opportunistic precursor to a real question. How do we know for sure if what you’re telling us is in fact what THEY say? I mean, come on… you could say anything following THAT expression and we’d be none the wiser.

And who the heck are THEY anyway? How did THEY get so much clout and why on earth should we give a shit about what they’re saying?

THEY get on my nerves.

THEY are typically the news pundits, unspecified tastemakers and mainstream media in general.

So anyway… since “These” and “Those” are plural of
“This” and “That”… And “Them” is the objective case of THEY
It makes perfect sense… almost.
